The Child, Youth and Families Alliance - Ipswich and West Moreton (CYFA or 'the Alliance') was established in May 2012 to bring together government and non-government organisations working in the Ipswich and West Moreton area to work collaboratively to promote and enhance the health and wellbeing of infants, children and youth, their families and communities.

To date CYFA has over 100 members and has a Strategic Reference Group (SRG) which comprises 12 members and three administrative positions; the SRG's role is to manage the strategic focus and governance of CYFA.

The Sector Readiness and Workforce Capacity Initiative supports Queensland’s community sector to prepare for coming reforms, improve service delivery for clients and communities, and work towards a stronger disability and community sector.  

The community services industry is undergoing significant transformation. The industry has demonstrated expertise in identifying and responding to client and community need, but is now facing new challenges, such as an ageing population, workforce shortages, sector-wide reforms, technological advances and economic uncertainty.

The National Disability Coordination Officer Program is an Australian Government funded program aimed at addressing the barriers faced by people with a disability in participating and transitioning into further education and subsequent employment.

The NDCO seeks to improve coordination and collaboration across the sectors, and build the capability of the sector to support people with a disability, through sharing information and advice on services, events or workshops, and supporting collaborative community partnerships.

A platform for community sector workers and other interested parties to share information, resources, training and policy updates with regards to access to interpreting / translation services in the provision of information and services for people with limited English proficiency.   

 

   

A space for the members to access information related to the Redlands Youth Network meetings, to share information, ideas, events, collborate on projects and communicate.
