Act as an agent for social change. This means we act collectively on identified issues and support national/state social action campaigns by providing local perspectives.
Raise community awareness by organising forums and media releases, lobby local MP's, identify high level cross sector local issues and/or gaps in service delivery that are an issue for the Cairns region.
Problem solve beyond the critique andadvocate for the region using an identified plan of action.
Develop our skill base - identify members or individuals who have the necessary skills to lead the alliance in developing a plan of action when required to access existing training or development programs to strengthen the Alliances ability to further advocate on behalf of the region.
Enhance our cooperative capacity - build relationships with a committment to exploring opportunities for developing cooperation, coordination and collaboration.
Be a peer mentoring resource for the NGO sector - participate/initiate peer mentoring programs when a need is identified.
